When looking at a 2D image we can sense only the width and the height, however, in a 3D image we can also see the depth along with width and height, as it would appear to the naked eye in the real world. Three dimensional graphics can be created more easily with the constantly evolving 3D software. Maya animation software has been a leader in the field of 3D graphics. More recently it has been used in the award winning Oscar movies like “Avatar” and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”.
The word Maya comes from Sanskrit, which means “illusion”.
